Thousands of Dead Birds Found Along Shores of Georgian Bay in Ontario, Botulism Blamed
About 6,000 dead birds have been found along the shores of Georgian Bay (map) in Ontario. CBC.ca reports that botulism is being blamed for the mass bird deaths. The birds apparently ate dead fish. Police are advising people to keep pets and kids away from the dead birds and the dead fish. No explanation was given for what killed the fish the birds were eating.
