Hubble Space Telescope Serves Up Holiday Snow Angel

Sharpless 2-106 Hubble Snow Angel


NASA's Hubble Space Telescope captured an image of Sharpless 2-106, a bipolar star-forming region. The image resembles a soaring, celestial snow angel. NASA says, "Twin lobes of super-hot gas, glowing blue in this image, stretch outward from the central star. This hot gas creates the 'wings' of our angel."
