Bright Pink Slugs Reside on Australia's Mount Kaputar

Triboniophorus aff. graeffei is a bright large pink slug that resides only on Mount Kaputar in New South Wales, Australia. The mountain top is the remnants of an ancient, extinct volcano. The slugs can reach lengths of 20 centimeters (nearly 8 inches).
The region is also home to other unique creatures, including cannibal snails that consume vegetarian snails.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the slugs eat moss and mold. They hide in leaf mold during the day, but often come out at night to feed. Here's a video about the slug from Planet Fungi:
