Egyptian Scientists Creates Clothing to Repel Insects

An Egyptian scientist has developed a fabric that can repel insects, such as mosquitoes. CNN's Reza Sayah reports that Mohamed Hashem, an Egyptian textile chemist, hates bugs. The material is infused with a plant extract that Hashem refuses to identify because of a patent. There is mosquito repellent clothing available outside Egypt, such as Zorrel and ExOfficio's Bugs Away. The insect repellent in the clothes is not permanent and tends to fade from the clothing after a certain number of washings. Take a look:
