Google Adds Galapagos Islands Street View Imagery to Google Maps

Google has added 360-degree Street View imagery to Google Maps so you can explore the Galapagos Islands. The Google Maps feature is a partnership with the Directorate of the Galapagos National Park, The Charles Darwin Foundation, and Catlin Seaview Survey. Blue-footed Boobies, sea lions, Galapagos tortoises, marine iguanas and frigatebirds are some of the creatures photographed. You can explore the islands here on Google Maps.
Google shows how they collected the data by attaching a 360-degree camera to the backpacks of hikers in this video. Underwater imagery was obtained with the help of divers. Take a look:
