Large Tornado Destroys Buildings in Northern Italy

A huge tornado hit northern Italy on May 4th and was captured by several amateur photographers. A 2003 report said Europe gets about 700 tornadoes a year, but only about 330 are reported. They tend to be on the weaker side of the Fujita scale. This tornado was plenty strong enough to cause damage. Reuters reports that the tornado damaged hundreds of buildings. 12 people were reportedly injured. This same area suffered an earthquake in May 2012. Take a look:
