NASA Shares Dazzling View of Small Magellanic Cloud Galaxy

NASA has released a new view of the tip of the "wing" of the Small Magellanic Cloud galaxy (SMC) taken by NASA's Great Observatories, the Hubble, Chandra X-ray Observatory and Spitzer Space Telescope. The SMC is a small galaxy located 200,000 light-years away. It orbits the Milky Way.
In the composite image, Chandra data is shown in purple, optical data from Hubble is shown in red, green and blue and infrared data from Spitzer is shown in red.
