U.S. Military Scientists Developing Pizza That Can Last For Three Years

Scientists at the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center in Natick, Massachusetts have been working on a long lasting pizza. The researchers say they have nearly perfected a pizza with a three year shelf life. The AP says the three year pizza is the "holy grail" of MREs (meals ready to eat). Past attempts at making the long lasting pizza have resulted in soggy pizza or pizza filled with disease causing bacteria. Jill Bates, Director of the Taste Lab at Natick, says the pizza taste likes a typical pan pizza you would make at home. Take a look:
