Iran Reported Two Coronavirus Deaths

Posted on February 19, 2020

Iran has reported its first two cases of the coronavirus. Both of the cases resulted in the deaths of the patients.

A report on U.S. News says the patients were elderly patients of Qom. The source is the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

The IRNA also quotes health ministry official Kiyanoush Jahanpour as saying "some suspected cases" of Covid-19 have been found over the past two days. That sounds like more than two cases but only two cases have been confirmed so far.

There is a message on the IRNA website that says Iranians should get their news on the coronavirus epidemic through the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education.
