Emperor Penguin That Became Stranded on New Zealand Beach Will be Returned Home

Happy Feet Lost Penguin Stranded on New Zealand Beach

The lost Antarctic Emperor penguin that made a 2,000-mile wrong turn and wound up stranded on New Zealand's Peka Peka Beach will soon be heading home. The penguin became sick after eating sand (he thought it was snow) and was taken to the Wellington Zoo. The zoo staff have been taking care of "Happy Feet" and he has completely recovered. The penguin's caretakers say he is well enough to be returned to his natural home in August. Take a look:

A live stream of Happy Feet can be found here.
