Belgian Scientists Build Badminton Robot

Belgian researchers have built the world's first badminton robot. Apex Dynamics says the robot has a reach of 1.5 meter high and 6 meter wide. The robot uses a very complex interception algorithm to locate and define the orbit of the incoming shuttle (or birdie). Reuters reports that the purpose of the robot is to help demonstrated how software can optimize energy efficiency in production machinery. Take a look:
