Chinese Scientists Don Panda Suits When Interacting With Panda Cubs

ABC News has a report about Chinese scientists wearing panda costumes when they handle panda cubs. The scientists don't want to the cubs to become too attached to humans, so they wear panda suits whenever they interact with the cubs. Kevin O'Reilly, an American conservationist with the group Panda Mountain-USCEF, says the panda cub can probably still smell a person even when they are inside a panda suit. However, he does think reducing human contact will help when the panda cub is eventually returned to the wild. The scientists should really be wearing some type of gloves if they want to reduce the human factor even more. Take a look:
