HugBot Squeezes You to Measure Your Vital Signs

HugBot is a large robot made by UrRobot which resembles a friendly polar bear. The robot puts the squeeze on you for about five seconds to measure your pulse. UrRobot hopes to sell the kid friendly pulse measuring bot to elementary schools and children's hospitals. HugBot was recently on display on the Taipei Int'l Robot Show 2012. The robot starts out wit hits arms ready for a hug and then closes them around the human that hugs it. Take a look:
