Industrial Perception's 3D Vision Guided Robot Throws Boxes

IEEE Spectrum reports that Industrial Perception, Inc. (IPI) is developing 3D vision guided robots. The technology enables a robot to be able to differentiate between different shapes and sizes. This video shows an IPI robot examining different boxes with its headlight. When it finds the appropriate box, the robot grabs it and it hurls it across the room. Take a look:
