Mission Trailer for The James Webb Space Telescope

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) will be the Hubble Telescope's successor. It is the most powerful space telescope ever built. The JWST will observe the most distant objects in the universe, provide images of the very first galaxies ever formed and study planets around distant stars. It is is a joint project of NASA, the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency.

The JWST will have a large mirror, 6.5 meters in diameter. It will have a tennis court sized sunshield. It will reside in an orbit about 1 million miles from the Earth. A 2018 launch date is planned for the Webb.

New telescopes don't usually get movie-like trailers, but they should, especially when they are as impressive as the Webb Telescope. Take a look:
