NASA Launches Five Rockets for ATREX Mission Studying Jet Stream

NASA successfully launched five suborbital sounding rockets early this morning from its Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. The rockets are part of the Anomalous Transport Rocket Experiment (ATREX) mission, which will gather information about the high-altitude jet stream located 60 to 65 miles above the surface of the Earth.

Each rocket was launched 80 seconds apart. The rockets released a chemical tracer that created milky, white clouds at the edge of space. Take a look:
