Posted on April 17, 2012

Disneynature's Chimpanzee documentary stars Oscar, a baby chimpanzee who finds himself orphaned and all alone after his chimp family is attacked by a rival band of chimps. Oscar is then found and adopted by an elder male chimpanzee that Disney calls "the one who will raise him" in the trailer. Take a look:

Chimpanzee is narrated by Tim Allen. The film arrives in theaters on Earth Day, April 22, 2012. Disneynature says a donation will be made to the Jane Goodall Institue from tickets sold during the movie's opening week.

Chimpanzee is one of four nature films arriving in theaters on Earth Day. To the Arctic is another one of the Earth Day nature movies. The IMAX film has stunning scenery of the Arctic.
