Piranha's Bite Force Measured by National Geographic Crew

A National Geographic crew tested the bite force of a Piranha. They found the piranha can bite down with nearly 70 pounds of force, which is 30 times its body weight. This is very impressive, but not nearly as powerful as the Dunkleosteus, an ancient fish that could bring its jaws together in one fiftieth of a second and exert over 1,000 pounds of force on its prey.
