PR2 Robot Learns to Scoop Poop

PR2 Robots keep learning how to do different tasks. The PR Robot has now been taught how to scoop up poop. Ben Cohen and researchers from the GRASP Lab at the University of Pennsylvania taught a PR2 to find poop and put it into a bucket using a store-bought scooper. The PR2 can successfully pick up 95% of the poops. This seems like a pretty demeaning task for a $400,000 robot but it is a task many humans would gladly turn over to robots. Take a look:
