RHex is an Impressive Six Legged Leaping Robot

Researchers from the University of Pennsylvania's Kodlab have developed RHex, an impressive six legged leaping robot. The versatile little robot is able to jump, flip itself over, do blackflips and climb up obstacles using its C-shaped legs and flat body.

Aaron M. Johnson and D. E. Koditschek of the University of Pennsylvania presented the robot at ICRA 2013. Their research paper can be found here. Take a look:
