Richard Branson Launches Virgin Oceanic

Richard Branson has launched Virgin Oceanic, a company devoted to exploring the deepest parts of the world's oceans, including the bottom of the Mariana Trench. The Mariana Trench dive is scheduled for later this year. The vehicle created for the exploration of the ocean depths is the Virgin Oceanic submarine (see details here), which has an operating depth of 7 miles. It can also operate for 24 hours unaided. Virgin Oceanic also has a Catamaran, which will act as the mothership for the submarine.

Richard Branson says, "If somebody says something's impossible, we like to prove that it is possible." Deep-sea tourism could be an end result of Virgin Oceanic. Take a look:
