Roborazzi Takes Party Pictures

Posted on October 28, 2011

Greg Shirakyan, a developer on the Microsoft Robotics team, shows off his Roborazzi robot that he built using the Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio 4 (RDS4) product. The goal of the robot is to replace photographers at parties or events. The robot wanders around the party and takes pictured of people it detects using Kinect Skeletal Tracking and takes pictures. These pictures the robot takes can be uploaded to Flickr. The robot can be seen in action around the 4:40 mark. The robot says things like "smile for the camera" and "taking your picture."
