Rollin' Justin Robot Cleans Windows

Researchers at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) have taught their humanoid robot Rollin' Justin to clean windows. Rollin' Justin has four wheels for legs. It has light weight arms with four-fingered hands.

The DLR says it uses hybrid reasoning to determine the optimal position of the robot for the task it is undertaking. DLR says it developed a modular system architecture to enable the robot to autonomously solve manipulation tasks from the object point of view. Motion sensing sensors and stereo cameras enable a 3D reconstruction of the environment around the robot.

Rollin' Justin cleans a window in a lab at the start of the video. At the 2:20 mark the robot can be seen showing off his skills as the Hanover Fair. Take a look:
