Scientists Create Glow-in-the-Dark Pigs

Scientists in China have created glow-in-the-dark pigs using a technique developed at the University of Hawaii Institute for Biogenesis Research. Ten piglets have been born that glow a greenish tint when placed under a black light. The technique involves transfering a fluorescent protein in jellyfish DNA into the embryo of a pig. The technique was developed by reproductive scientists from the University of Hawaii Manoa John A. Burns School of Medicine. Two of the transgenic pigs are sitting in a blue bucket in the video. The pigs don't appear to like it when the lights are turned off for very long. Take a look:
