Telepresence Robot Can Wear Your Friend's Face

A robot called SociBot-Mini can wear your friend's face or use a character's face. New Scientist reports that the robot was built by Will Jackson and his team from Engineered Arts.

The robot uses a headshot to display the face of a friend on its transparent plastic face. The idea is that the SociBot-Mini could be used for telepresence. The robot can also recognize gestures and determine a person's mood by monitoring their facial expressions. Take a look:
