Tens of Thousands of Female Antelope Travel Long Distances to Zonag Lake in Tibet Each Year

Tens of thousands of female antelopes travel to Zonag Lake in Tibet each year to give birth. The antelopes come from all over China to reach the Zonag Lake, which translates as "the gathering place of the antelope." The region is cold and is buffeted by strong winds. There is also little food available. It is not clear why the antelope choose to travel to the region each year. Many of the newly born antelopes get lost and perish in the harsh climate. Conservationists try each year to track down the lost antelopes to save them. Take a look:
