Turkey Vultures Live on Water Tower in Wake Forest, N.C.

Posted on December 15, 2011

A venue of turkey vultures has made a water tower home in downtown Wake Forest, North Carolina. Rev. Mid Wootten says the vultures still have a role in the "creation and the process of death and resurrection" even though they aren't the most beautiful birds.

Tool engineer Dave Smith says he has seen as many as 100 to 200 vultures on the Water Tower at one time. Smith says, "They're fun to watch. I guess they're interesting animals, but they sure are creepy aren't they?"
