Video: Mongoose Family Battles Ugly 5-Foot-Tall Marabou Storks

A banded mongoose family battles creepy, prehistoric looking Marabou storks in this video from National Geographic. The ugly storks reportedly have a habit of "squirting excrement onto its own legs." At 1.5 meters tall (about 5 feet) and a wingspan of 2.9 meters the Marabou stork is one of the largest flying birds in the world.

The mongoose pack does its best to protect its cubs from the storks, but the storks are relentless. Take a look:
