FDA Releases New Graphic Cigarette Warning Labels

The FDA will require larger, more prominent cigarette health warnings on all cigarette packaging and ads in the U.S. starting September 2012. The new labels mark the most significant change in cigarette warnings in more than 25 years.

The final set of cigarette health warnings contains nine different text warnings and accompanying color graphics. The graphic images will be very prominent on the cigarette packages. Each label also includes a hotline number, 1-800-QUIT-NOW. Here are the images of the nine graphic labels:
