Australian Beach Town Covered in Sea Foam

Maroochydore, an urban center located on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, has been covered with sea foam. Winds from a tropical cyclone whipped up the sea and blew the foam inland. Discovery News says the sea foam reached as high as 3 meters (9 feet). NOAA explains here how sea foam can form when dissolved organic matter (such as dead algae) is churned up from strong winds and powerful waves. Take a look:
