66-Foot-Long Japanese Dock Washes Ashore on Oregon Beach

NBC Nightly News reports that a 66-foot-long Japanese dock, covered in algae, has washed ashore on an Oregon beach. The dock was torn loose from a fishing port in Japan during the devastating tsunami on on Friday, March 11 2011. The dock follows a Harley-Davidson that washed ashore on British Columbia's Graham Island. The Harley, found inside a van cargon container, is being preserved at the Harley-Davidson Museum at the request of its owner, Ikuo Yokoyama. The dock will likely be destroyed or taken back out to sea and sunk. The dock was tested for radiation and none was found. Take a look:
