Baby Giant Pacific Octopuses Engage in Tug-of-War Over Food

The Vancouver Aquarium says its baby giant Pacific octopuses are now six weeks old and still going strong. The babies hatched from eggs laid by C.C. last October. Giant Pacific octopuses have a seven to ten month long pelagic larval stage.

The babies are being fed thawed krill in this clip. Sometimes the octopus babies have a tug-a-war over their food as you can see around the 40-second mark. Take a look:
