BAE Systems Announces Q-Warrior Helmet Mounted Display System

BAE Systems has announced the Q-Warrior helmet mounted display system. The Iron Man like display offers soldiers real-time visual data on the battlefield. BAE says the system can help soldiers identify hostiles and non-hostile forces, which could significantly reduce friendly fire incidents. BAE says the helmet uses its Q-Sight technology which BAE says "employs a revolutionary means of moving light using holographic waveguides."

Defense Systems says the helmet features an eye-motion box that keeps the display in front of the soldier even as they move their helmet. Soldiers could also view video taken by reconnaissance drones. Take a look:
