Death Cologne Could Save You From Zombies Say Scientists

Posted on March 24, 2014

A cologne that made you smell like a rotting corpse could save you from a zombie apocalypse say scientists.

Chemist and zombie film buff Raychelle Burks, Ph.D., explains the components of her Death Cologne in this video produced by the American Chemical Society. Some of the compounds could include the aptly named cadaverine and putrescine, which are produced early in the decomposition process.

Burks says methanethiol has rotten egg and boiled cabbage smell that will help make the Death Cologne stinkier. E. Coli could be used to help produce these stinky chemicals.
