Lopsided Emo-Style Haircuts Can Cause Lazy Eye Warns Optometrist

A lot of young people may soon be getting lazy eye if this new health warning is true. Andrew Hogan, a national executive member of Optometrists Association Australia, is warning that emo-style haircuts that obscure one eye can lead to amblyopia, or lazy eye.

The hair can act like an eye patch over the eye, blocking sunlight and sensory input. Some media outlets are blaming Justin Bieber for the eye obscuring haircut trend. Bieber's 2009 hair style did partially obscure one of eyes, but Bieber's hair is very short now. We hope Bieber does not get lazy eye. NMA News animated this story. Take a look:
