Google Street View Adds CERN Imagery Including Large Hadron Collider

Posted on September 28, 2013

Google has added imagery from CERN to its Google Maps Street View. The Street View CERN page provides views of the interior of the particle physics laboratory in Geneva and its control centers and its myriad underground tunnels.

The site includes imagery of the ATLAS detector, the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS), the ALICE heavy ion detector and Large Hadron Collider. You can get directly to the Large Hadron Collider tunnel here.

Google says in a blog post that the images were collected during a two week period in 2011.
