Japanese Researchers Develop Cooking Simulator

Researchers at the Tokyo Institute of Technology have developed a cooking simulator. The simulator includes a fry pan interface that can help teach someone how to cook a perfect steak. The simulator displays changes to the meat and vegetables in the pan as they are "cooking." Flight simulators are necessary because damaged aircraft is very expensive. Cooking simulators are obviously not as necessary and likely less effective then simply practicing cooking with actual food. However, a cooking simulator could be a feature of a futuristic kitchen to give people an idea of what cooking different types of dishes is like. Take a look:
