Robo Sally Finds and Disables IEDs, Checks Driver IDs at Security Checkpoint

Researchers from The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory are working on Robo Sally, a Bimanual Dexterous Robotic Platform that can locate and disable Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). Robo Sally moves on a base with four wheels and has a torso with two long arms and a robotic head. This video shows Robo Sally locating and disabling an IED, searching a vehicle for an IED and monitoring a perimeter. Robo Sally can also perform at security checkpoints and review driver IDs.
