Terrafugia's Flying Car Debuts at the New York International Auto Show

There are two flying cars at this year's New York International Auto Show. A video of the PAL-V, a flying car/gyrocopter, can be seen here.

The second vehicle is The Transition by Terrafugia. The Transition is a plane that has wings that fold up for driving. Terrafugia bills it as a "street-legal airplane." Here is a video with SmartMoney's Kelli Grant talking to Terrafugia's vice president of business development Richard Gersh at the auto show as well as a publicity video from Terrafugia. Gersh says they expect to be in production and delivering flying cars by the end of the year. However, there is a three year backlog for ordering one. Take a look:
