Video: New Designs for Nuclear Reactors

Here is a video from the Wall Street Journal which shows some new designs for nuclear reactors. The new designs include changes like using natural forces like gravity and convection to cool reactors in an emergency instead of pumps powered by electricity. In Toshiba's Westinghouse AP1000 model large reservoirs of water are stored above the reactor and can be pulled down using gravity. The WSJ says there is still concern even the latest reactor models will fail in extreme events like the massive 2011 Tohoku earthquake. Take a look:
