PAL-V, a Flying Car/Gyrocopter, Takes First Test Flight

The PAL-V, a 3-wheeled vehicle that can both drive on the ground like a car and fly in the air like a gyrocopter has taken its maiden flight. The vehicle, created by a Dutch company, runs on gasoline and can reach speeds of up to 180 km/h (112 mph) both on land and in the air. The propeller can fold itself into the driving position when not being flown. The outer blades are folded over the inner blades using a hinge mechanisms. Wired says the PAL-V will join the Terrafugia at this year's New York Auto Show. Take a look:
