NASA Satellite Captures Midwest White Out

NASA's GOES-EAST satellite captured white out conditions in the midwest. The Midwest White Out took placed at 3:15 p.m. EST on January 6, 2014. It was created by blowing snow and intensely cold air.

NASA says the white conditions where particular bad around the Great Lakes where temperatures averaged 20 degrees below Fahrenheit and wind chills were 50 below.
