Video: Hoff Crabs Battle for Best Positions Near Volcanic Vent

The Hoff crab is a new species of crab discovered earlier this year. It lives in extremely dense piles near volcanic vents beneath the surface of the Southern Ocean, near Antarctica. The hairy crabs were named after actor David Hasselhoff. Scientists have discovered that the crabs constantly battle for the best positions closest to the vents, where the most nutrients are. The large breeding male crabs tend to get the very best positions. Take a look:
